Electronics in the Silver project – what can you expect?
Development
From PCB design, first prototypes such as battery module developments to our own assembly of the electronics – we usually develop our own power electronics in a team. Here we work with Altium Designer, build the first prototypes ourselves in cooperation with the FabLab, have the final boards manufactured externally and then assemble them ourselves.
Practical tests
The subject of aviation requires a wide range of tests, since results from simulations always have to be validated. For our electronics team this also means extensive testing of their developments. Be it extensive tests on test benches, or flight tests to test ESCs, batteries and control units in real environments – as an electrical engineer in our team, you belong to the core of research.
What you should bring along
Previous knowledge in the field of electrical engineering is of course an advantage, whether only when soldering or already through the first in-house developments. But the most important thing is your own motivation to actively help in the team and above all the willingness to learn new things. If you bring that with you, you are definitely in the right place!
